About me

A bit about me. Let me introduce myself. My name is Esther, and I am a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist. My practice is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

I am passionate about supporting my clients on their journey towards more positive mental health. Helping them to focus on their preferred future, aiding them in overcoming their obstacles, and guiding them to find solutions enables them to rediscover their real selves, so they can live the happier, more content, and fulfilling life that they long for. This passion for me began after being made redundant during the first Covid lockdown, I decided that I wanted a change of career. I had previously enjoyed rewarding careers in the floral industry as a designer, and as a dental assistant (dental nurse) in the U.S.A. where I lived for almost 12 years. I loved both of these careers, though after my redundancy I made the decision to move into a career where I could help people. I had received counselling during a very difficult time and wanted to take a path where I could help people who had suffered similarly.

After coming across the Hypnotherapy course run by CPHT (Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training) and doing some research, I made the decision that Solution Focused Hypnotherapy was the direction I wanted to take. I love that this form of therapy not only utilises the best elements of some of the most successful forms of therapy such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and Hypnotherapy which combines Psychotherapy and Hypnosis (sometimes referred to as trance); but is also based on up-to-date neuroscientific research.

The more I learned (and continue to learn) about how our minds work, and the neuroscience behind what I do, the more enthralled I am with it. The significant positive results I have seen my clients achieve in relatively short periods of time never ceases to amaze me and is the reason why I love being a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. It is so rewarding to be able to support my clients on their journey to more positive mental health.

I have chosen to focus my practice on helping people who are struggling through midlife, and women going through perimenopause and menopause. I understand how this can be an incredibly difficult time as I have personal experience with both. I understand the struggles, the worries, the anxiety, the overwhelm, etc. as I have experienced them firsthand. And the symptoms of menopause can make an already difficult time so much worse. My goal is to help, support, and guide my midlife clients on this journey, this transition, to a place where life regains its vibrancy, their inner spark is reignited, and their menopause symptoms are reduced. Helping them to rediscover their real selves, and enabling them to start anew.

I trained with the prestigious Clifton Practice (CPHT), a recognised Centre of Excellence for hypnotherapy in the UK, where I gained my Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), which is considered to be the Gold Standard in Hypnotherapy Training. I am a member of 3 professional associations; the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and abide by these associations’ strict Codes of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics.
